The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has published the winners of the "Clusters4Future" ideas competition. The two JARA partners RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich are involved in two of the clusters. The vision of the "Hydrogen" Future Cluster is a CO2-neutral economy. The "NeuroSys" future cluster focuses on neuromorphic hardware for autonomous artificial intelligence systems.

On February fourth, 2021, a consortium of 19 leading European research institutions announced the launch of a large-scale EU flagship initiative. The four-year Quantum Large-Scale Integration with Silicon (QLSI) project aims to scale silicon quantum technologies. The strong partners and ambitious project will lay the foundation for the industrial implementation of semiconductor quantum processors in the EU and put Europe at the forefront of the world in quantum information. One of the institutions involved in the project is the JARA partner Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Several new information technologies seem to have sprung from science fiction and impress with more performance in the smallest of spaces. One of these technologies is Ferroelectric Random Access Memory, or FeRAM for short. These components combine work and data storage in one. Now, a team of scientists from the JARA partners RWTH and Forschungszentrum Jülich have found a possible way to further miniaturize the FeRAM bits.

For several years, Prof. Beate Herpertz-Dahlmann has been working on optimizing a therapy concept for young patients with anorexia nervosa. In the past, the JARA-BRAIN scientist achieved positive results with her pilot project "Home Treatment", which focuses primarily on treatment in the patient's familiar home. Based on the pilot project, the therapy concept is now supplemented by the "HoT" project and the associated home care of patients by specially trained, multiprofessional caregivers.

In addition to computing time on the RWTH Compute Cluster Aix-La-Chapelle (CLAIX) you can also apply for computing time on the JURECA Cluster Module and the JURECA Booster Module.
