JARA-ENERGY scientist involved in record-breaking green hydrogen storage facility
The world's largest plant for storing green hydrogen in liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC) on an industrial scale is being built at CHEMPARK Dormagen. North Rhine-Westphalia is supporting the project with a total of 9 million euros. LOHC Industrial Solutions NRW GmbH, a subsidiary of the Erlangen-based company Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, is responsible for project management and plant operation. Another industrial partner is Covestro Deutschland AG.
JARA-ENERGY scientist and director of HI ERN Prof. Peter Wasserscheid, has played a major role in developing LOHC technology in recent years and is significantly involved in the project.
