JARA-HPC participation at SCONA 2018

On April 22, 2018, Dr. Andreas Lintermann from the SimLab “Highly Scalable Fluids & Solids Engineering”, JARA-HPC, participated in the first “World Congress of the Society of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) of the Nose & Airway” (SCONA 2018), London, UK. With his two talks on “Massively Parallel Grid Generation for Biomedical Flows” and “Analyses of Nasal Cavity Flows Based on Highly-Resolved CFD Computations” he was able to convince the audience of the important work the SimLab performs in HPC method development and in respiratory flow analyses. The congress brought together experts from engineering, industry, and various medical sectors. The format of the event enabled to discuss cross-disciplinary topics and to find new potential collaboration parters for promising future projects.
