European research project STRONG-2020
Focus on strong interactions
The many different components of our universe are related to each other and affect each other. To explain and understand this complex network, modern physics uses the four fundamental interactions of the Standard Model of elementary particles. Gravitation, electromagnetism, weak and strong interactions are the cornerstones of this model. However, these pillars are not sufficient to answer all the questions. A new Europe-wide project now wants to investigate the strong interaction in order to find answers to the open questions. The Institute of Nuclear Physics at Forschungszentrum Jülich is involved in the STRONG-2020 project.
