MINT-EC -- CAMMP Week 2025 at RWTH Aachen
The joint event organized by the Computational and Mathematical Modeling Program (CAMMP) at RWTH Aachen University and the national excellence school network MINT EC e.V., Berlin, is primarily aimed at secondary school students from all over Germany who would like to spend a week working on mathematical problems in small groups.
During the week of October 20-24, 2025, 12 students tackled two problems from the world of business: “Cavities in metal castings” and “Audio analysis of automatic car door systems.”
In order to work on and solve the problems described, the students worked in two groups and used mathematical methods and programming software, as well as their own creative minds, of course.
The groups were supported by supervisors from RWTH Aachen University. At the closing event at the end of the week, each group was able to present outstanding results.
In addition to developing solutions to the problems, the students were informed by the central student advisory service about various study options at RWTH Aachen University.
The MINT-EC -- CAMMP Week was a complete success. We would like to thank all participants, supervisors, MINT EC, and everyone who was involved in the organization and implementation of the event behind the scenes.
