IRTG-2379 Annual School & Annual Meeting 2020
This year’s IRTG-2379 Annual School took place as an online event in conjunction with the Annual Meeting on July 14 -17, 2020. At the Summer School Principal Investigators as well as guest lecturers give short courses on pertinent topics. The aim is to amplify the common theme of the IRTG, give doctoral candidates a better orientation in the field of inverse problems, and identify common themes or methods within the area.
As part of the Annual School 2020 of the IRTG-2379, Prof. Thomas Böhlke (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) gave a short course on “Integrated Engineering of Continuous-discontinuous Long Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures”. Prof. Leszek Demkowicz (UT Austin) gave a short course on “The Discontinuous Petrov-Galerkin (DPG) Method” and Prof. Raul Tempone (RWTH Aachen) gave a short course on “Forward and Inverse Problems with Multilevel Monte Carlo”.
The Annual Meeting included a keynote lecture by Prof. Wolfgang Dahmen ( University of South Carolina), project presentations, and a poster session.
