DFG Funding Secured for New Project Led by JARA-CSD Scientist Prof. Max Lemme
Research Funding Secured for Four Years of Work in Collaborative Research Centres/Transregio
The Grants Committee of the German Research Foundation (DFG) has announced its decisions on the establishment and extension of Collaborative Research Centres/Transregios (CRC/TRR). These centres, jointly proposed and funded by two or three universities, are designed to foster close collaboration among institutions and researchers while promoting shared use of resources.
This year, four proposals involving RWTH Aachen University were submitted to the Grants Committee. The DFG has approved funding for two new Collaborative Research Centres/Transregios for the next four years and has also granted continuation funding for a third phase for two existing centres.
Among the approved proposals is the project ‘Future-Oriented Electronics Using Active Components in Three Dimensions (Active-3D)’, led by JARA-CSD scientist Prof. Max Lemme. In collaboration with TU Dresden, Prof. Lemme, who holds the Chair of Electronic Components at RWTH Aachen University, successfully secured funding for this innovative initiative.
