The American Ceramic Society (ACerS), the largest ceramic society worldwide, recognizes dedicated members who demonstrate exceptional leadership and service that benefits to the society and the global ceramics community. For his outstanding scientific achievements, mentoring of students and young professionals, Prof. Olivier Guillon (JARA-ENERGY) has now been recognized as ACerS Global Ambassador.
With its Innovation Award, RWTH Aachen University annually honors university projects that make a particular contribution to the appeal of the Aachen region as a center of innovation. Professor Malte Brettel, Vice Rector for Business and Industry, presented the certificates during RWTHtransparent. Several JARA members were among the honorees.
RWTH scientists Max Hohenschutz, Carlos G. Lopez and Professor Walter Richtering (JARA-SOFT) from the Chair of Physical Chemistry II are involved in researching a gelation mechanism. Beate Förster from Forschungszentrum Jülich and Pierre Bauduin from the Institut de Chimie Séparative de Marcoule in France are also part of the team.

On November 29, a panel discussion organized by JARA CSD and the Profile Area Modeling & Simulation Sciences was held in Aachen on this very topic.
