World’s Most Cited Researchers – Two JARA Members

Two JARA scientists have been named among this year’s Highly Cited Researchers, one of the most prestigious recognitions for scientific impact. Prof. Ralf Weiskirchen (JARA-BRAIN) and Prof. Weihan Li (JARA-ENERGY) are now part of the small global circle of researchers whose publications rank among the top one percent most cited in their field, according to the Web of Science.

Prof. Weiskirchen’s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying fibrotic liver diseases. He collaborates closely with national and international partners to develop new biomarkers and therapeutic strategies.

Prof. Weihan Li and his team at the CARL Centre are advancing the digitalisation and AI-driven development of battery systems, and he has already received numerous awards for his work.
