Science Forum Chemistry of the Society of German Chemical Society in Aachen
Location: Eurogress Aachen, Monheimsallee 48, 52062 Aachen
The German Chemical Society (GDCh) is organizing the Society's seventh Science Forum on Chemistry. Every two years, the GDCh invites its members and interested parties to the congress, which lasts several days and is accompanied by a trade exhibition, a job exchange and a poster session.
Experts from business, science, education and politics will meet this year in Aachen under the title "Chemistry - The Essential Element". In parallel sessions, top-class speakers will speak to their audience. Each of the three days of the event will have its own theme: Fascination of Chemistry, Molecular Design and Resource and Sustainability Issues in Chemistry. Several scientists from the JARA sections ENERGY, FIT and SOFT will participate in the different sessions with interesting lectures.
This year's Science Forum Chemistry will once again be rounded off by the satellite symposium "Experiment Future - Thinking Values in Chemistry". The symposium serves to discuss social topics that are strongly influenced by chemistry.
The final session of this year's event will be held by Prof. Martin Möller, member of JARA-SOFT. The title of his lecture is: "Can Material Perform as an Engine?
