35th Umbrella Symposium

Location: EICE Integration Center, Campus-Boulevard 55, 52074 Aachen

Life Science and Engineering: Data Analytics, Neuroscience and Multiscale Biomedical Engineering

For the 35th time, the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University are organizing the Umbrella Symposium. After the last conference had to be held digitally, all participants are pleased to be able to meet again this year. From May 16 to 18, the Umbrella Symposium will take place at RWTH Aachen University. Registrations are still possible until April 30.

The focus of this year's Umbrella Symposium will be on life sciences and engineering. In particular, the focus is on data analytics, neuroscience and multiscale biomedical engineering. The available computing power and the development of artificial intelligence methods have made remarkable progress in the recent years, and promote the hierarchical and predictive simulation of complex systems. Developments in engineering and technological advances have led to new diagnostic and therapeutic options. Experts will present the current state of research in interesting lectures. In addition, young scientists are given a platform and the opportunity to exchange ideas and questions about the future.

The Umbrella cooperation between RWTH Aachen University, Forschungszentrum Jülich and Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, established in 1983, reflects a strategic partnership aiming to foster excellent high-impact research and technology cooperations to a mutual benefit between strong partners. The annual symposium is a highlight within these ambitions.

The preliminary program is available on the RWTH Aachen University website: https://www.rwth-aachen.de/go/id/tussn/file/5-35345/?lidx=1

The invitation is addressed to scientists from the field of "Life Science & Engineering". Registration is still possible until April 30, 2022.
