Prof. Dr.-Ing. Janina Fels Receives Award for Research into “Medical Acoustics”

JARA-BRAIN researcher Prof. Janina Fels has been pursuing research in the field of spatial hearing, in particular during the stages of growth. She is now being honoured by the German Acoustical Society (DEGA) for her wide-ranging research activities in the field of binaural technology and medical acoustics. The junior professor for medical acoustics at RWTH Aachen University was presented with the Lothar Cremer Award at DEGA’s annual conference.

New Highlight in Measuring Technology at Jülich

JARA-BRAIN scientist PD Dr. Irene Neuner and JARA-BRAIN director Prof. Dr. N. Jon Shah have jointly developed a unique new combination of measuring techniques that enables electrophysiological images of the brain to be taken in a 9.4 tesla magnetic resonance tomograph. The results of their research were recently published in the journal Neuroimage.
