The German Tourette Association (TGD) in Göttingen granted JARA-BRAIN scientist, Dr. med. Irene Neuner, funding to a total of € 1,000. Neuner is senior physician at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at University Hospital Aachen and a scientist at the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine 4 at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The association thus paid tribute to the comprehensive work of the psychiatrist and

neurologist on the Gilles de la Tourette syndrome. Dr. Irene Neuner has been conducting research for several years in Aachen and Jülich on new diagnostic and treatment options, particularly in the area of state-of-the-art imaging techniques. In 2007, she was awarded the German Tourette Association's science prize for an innovative test setup.
