JARA-HPC at ISC 2017

From June 18 - 22, 2017, JARA-HPC will be once again at the International Supercomputing Conference 2017 (ISC) in Frankfurt. Scientists from Jülich and Aachen will present current research projects in several workshops and tutorials and the JARA-HPC booth in the exhibition hall will provide a platform for discussions with other scientists and HPC experts. Furthermore, the virtual, interactive 3D factory planning tool "flapAssist" will be demonstrated at the booth. more

On April 4 2017, the Opening Workshop for the new Simulation Laboratory Quantum Materials (SLQM) took place at JSC. The workshop featured a number of scientific talks given by leading experts from the Forschungszentrum Juelich, RWTH Aachen University and the Universitè de Liegé. Each talk dealt with diverse and emerging topics in computational Materials Science.

The JARA presentations and workshops on simulation inform interested students and scientists of all faculties about events related to simulation sciences.


As part of a cooperation project between RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich (JARA), a new database was created, that provides comprehensive overview of the main research areas in energy of the two institutions.
